POSITION: Fundraising Coordinator

Reports to: Fredericton Community Kitchens Inc. Operations Manager
Hourly wage: $16 - $20/hour (reflective of experience)
Hours per week: 10 hours/week (some non-standard working hours required)
Work location: 65 Brunswick Street

FUNDAMENTAL OBJECTIVE: The Fundraising Coordinator will be primarily responsible for identifying new and strengthening existing fundraising and/or donation opportunities for the Fredericton Community Kitchens. Working in collaboration with the Operations Manager and the Board of Directors as necessary, the Fundraising Coordinator will develop short and long term fundraising and/or donor cultivation strategies to allow the Fredericton Community Kitchens to meet its increasing financial commitments and continue to fulfill its mandate of feeding Fredericton’s hungry.

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of proven experience in fundraising and donor relations in the non-profit sector. Exceptional organization, communication, event, and time management skills are necessary. Additionally, the ability to work independently and as a team player in the unpredictable non-profit sector is a must. Applicants with an interest and/or experience working with diverse and disadvantaged populations are strongly encouraged to apply. All potential candidates must be fluent in Microsoft Office products and social media platforms.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fundraising 
Plan, implement, and manage (in collaboration with the Operations Manager and Board as necessary) strategic fundraising and donor cultivation strategies. 
Plan, implement, and manage fundraising and donor cultivation events for the Kitchens.

Communications
Promote the Kitchens’ mandate, programs, and financial needs in the community, on social media, and at community events.
Assist with and represent the Kitchens at third party fundraising activities in the community (some evening and weekend commitment will be necessary).

Administration
Project annual revenues including the timing of donations, sales and grants. 
Manage donor and gift record-keeping and acknowledgement practices.
