How long have you been apart of the kitchens team?

Over two years now!

What made you want to get involved with the work of the Kitchens?

I have always had a passion for food and to see people being hungry and not being able to provide food, I felt like I needed to share my passion for food and help in anyway I could.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?

I really enjoyed getting to know the staff at the kitchens, and see the growth in some of the cooks.

How has being involved in the Kitchens changed you?

I guess the biggest thing for me is there is a large need for food in Fredericton whether it is in the kitchen building, or throughout the many schools around Fredericton.

What is your favorite memory from your time at the kitchens?

My favorite memory over the years would probably in the beginning of the Corona Virus, the kitchens did not skip a beat, there student hunger programs continued to provide meals and food boxes even though there was no school, and the kitchens kept serving food to the public.

What do you want the Fredericton Community to know about the Kitchens?

Just about the hunger needs of people in Fredericton, and the shear volume of food and lunches that the Community Kitchens produce on a daily basis. Amazing.

How would you like to see the Kitchens grow?

I would love to see the Kitchens grow, and someday have a larger facility to accommodate all of our needs.

What's a fun fact about you not many people would know?

Fun fact about me, I have competed in two national cooking competitions at junior level.
